Lamedh or Lamed is the twelfth letter of the Semitic abjads, including Hebrew Lāmed ל, Aramaic Lāmadh , Syriac Lāmaḏ ܠ, Arabic Lām ل, and Phoenician Lāmed . Its sound value is [l].
